First Step Farm of WNC Inc Womens Facility located in Candler, NC provides sober housing for women.

Detailed description details:

The Women's Facility was established in 1992 on 32 acres.  It currently accommodates up to 15 female residents.















The Women's Facility produces a variety of annual and perennial flowers for both retail and wholesale customers.  Flower availability begins in early spring and continues through Christmas with Pointsettias.  Numerous varieties and colors are available in flats, pots, and hanging baskets.

Mission Statement

The goal of First Step Farm is to promote a resident's self determined efforts to recover from chemical dependency. We serve to restore the self-respect and esteem of the individual, helping to lead them to an understanding of their problem. Once this is attained, motivation towards sustained abstinence is sought, supported by positive influences from 12 Step self-help fellowships.
